Denise Michele Mitchell (65) was born May 26, 1959 in Allegan, MI to Virginia Lee Mitchell sr. And John Earl Mitchell Jr. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday December 18th, 2024. She was a University of Phoenix graduate with an associate's degree in business. She was a pillar in the Allegan County community where she was known by almost everyone, graduating from Allegan High School, working at Rock10, Vandam and Krusinga, and Stanford Lodge. She always said, "I don't believe in strangers, it's just someone I haven't yet met."

Denise is survived by her siblings Thomas (Rose Coleman) Mitchell, Virgina Lee Willis Jr.  (Mitchell), and Robert (Rosita) Mitchell. Though she did not have children of her own, she is also survived by an abundance of nieces and nephews that she loved and cared for as her own.

Denise was proceeded in death by her Mother, Virginia Lee Mitchell Sr.; Father, John Earl Mitchell Jr.; brothers, Mark Anthony Johnson, Steven Allen Mitchell and John D. Johnson; nephew, Anthony Dewayne Mitchell; niece, Kiss K. Johnson; great-great niece, Zahrielle Aryssah Ware; and several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.

We ask that you continue to think of her often. Remember her at times when you know that she shined most, whether it would be a song at church, a trip to Michigan Adventure, a dish she would always make, or just a smile if you see a gold convertible drive by.

The family would like to invite anyone who would like to honor her to her visitation Thursday January 2nd, 2025 6pm to 8pm at Gorden Funeral Residence, 528 Trowbridge Street Allegan, MI 49010. Celebration of life service would be held Friday January 3rd , 2025 at Saint John's C.O.G.I.C, 716 Academy Street Allegan, MI 49010, 12pm-1pm family greeting, with services commencing at 1pm.
