Denise Ann Looman, 59 of Plainwell, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Born June 19, 1962 in Battle Creek, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Orval and Dorothy (Gailey) Jackson and the wife of the late Derek Dane Looman. As an early career, Denise became a nurse at a nursing home and enjoyed serving her patients, but as time went on, she decided to switch careers and become a supervisor in a factory in her later years. She and her late husband, Derek, enjoyed trips to the local casinos to try their luck. Being surrounded by her family, friends and beloved pets meant the most to Denise and she always appreciated their care and concern, not to mention the laughter and fun they continued to have through the years. Denise is survived by her daughter, Emily Looman (Mark Keedle, Jr.); stepson, Derek (Patricia) Looman; two brothers, Dennis Jackson and Robert (Cheryl) Jackson; five grandchildren, Faith Looman, Hailee (Adrian) Lindsley, Lacie Madalinski, Kacey Keedle, and Markie Keedle; and two great-grandchildren, Cameron Lindsley and Hannah Lindsley. Along with her parents and husband, she was proceeded in death by her four brothers, Orval Jr., Jim Jackson, Kenneth Jackson, and Duke Jackson. Denise has many other family members and friends both living and deceased that loved her. She will be missed. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank all those that have reached out to them.
