born August 29, 1953, passed away on July 14, 2011 in San Antonio, TX. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to George and Pearl Kastran. She was a graphic artist in the advertising department of H.E.B. for some fourteen years and a respected member of the advertising community for more than 30 years. She was a member of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, San Antonio and her church and family were very important to her. Deneen is survived by her loving husband, Curtis White; her mother, Pearl Kastran Ahnen, her brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Chelle Kastran, nieces and nephews, Jessica and Bryan Cranson, Drew and Jenna Kastran, mother-in-law, Dorothy White, and her beloved dog, Cooper. She is also survived by her long time high school and college friends, Gail Caimie. She was preceded in death by her father, George Kastran and step-father, Bill Ahnen. A gifted creator of book covers, Deneen's original designs appear on several popular fiction and non-fiction books. Deneen also was an avid cook and baker. Among gourmet groups her unique and delicious cheese cakes were avidly sought. She graduated from Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids, Michigan. She suffered from cancer of the pancreas and lower spine. Deneen will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and her kind, gentle nature.
