Allegan, died Monday, March 22, 2010 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Gorringe was born November 7, 1930 in Allegan, the son of Harold and Ethel (Perkins) Gorringe. Dene graduated from Allegan High School in 1948. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force where he served from 1950 to 1954. He worked for Rockwell in Allegan for over 20 years, and was a member of the American Legion and the Eagles. Surviving are his 4 children, Rhonda Kling and Dan Wells of Allegan, Pam and Ken DeJonge of Grandville, Norman Gorringe of Allegan, and Ethel and Edward Brown of Allegan, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lowena "Sue", and his brother, Carrol. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 1 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Eagles. Private interment will take place at Millgrove Cemetery, Valley Twp.
