Allegan, MI, died Thursday, August 5, 2004 at Stanford Lodge, Plainwell. Mrs. Farnum was born Feb. 18, 1916 in Allegan Twp., the daughter of Orley and Irene (Clawson) Reed. She had been employed by the State of Michigan, F.I.A., for 25 years, retiring in 1975. Surviving are 2 children and their spouses, James and Gloria Blackman of Florida and Carol and Sherman Moored of Allegan; 1 step daughter, Camilla (Ivan) Klinesteker of Kalamazoo; 1 step daughter-in-law, Agatha Farnum of Lansing; 7 grandchildren, Jay (Deb) Blackman, Ruth (Dan) Schulz, Jon (Emily) Blackman, Jeff Blackman, Kelly (Shannon) Moored, Amy Moored, and Robin (Matt) Scott; 9 great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; 1 sister, Eunice Emmons of Allegan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dale Blackman and Harold Farnum, 1 brother and 1 sister, Arthur Reed and Naomi Morgan, 2 stepchildren and step daughter-in-law, Harold and June Farnum and Vernon Farnum. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the First Church of God, Allegan. Pastor Jack Eitelbuss officiating. Interment Blackman Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God or Stanford Lodge.
