Hopkins, MI, died Friday, May 19, 2006 at her home. Mrs Baier was born January 20 1924 in Krem, North Dakota, the daughter of Albert and Ida (Wolf) Grosz. She was a member of the Epiphany Lutheran Church in Dorr. Surviving are her children, Kathy and Bernie Schwartz and Craig and Toni Baier all of Hopkins; 7 grandchildren, Ryan and Sarah Schwartz, Karen and Rich Dame, Nick and Emily Schwartz, Jessica and Michael King, Jason Baier and Heather Iciek, Jenni Baier, and Jeremy and Megan Baier; 5 great grandchildren, Hannah, Ethan, Olivia, Noah and Ella; 3 brothers, Byron and Leatisze Grosz and Archie and Esther Grosz all of North Dakota and Marvin and Doris Grosz of Maine; 5 sisters, Violet Kerber of Hopkins, Darlene and Hubert Miller of California, Arlys and David Edstrom of Minnesota, Florence Langen of North Dakota and Karen Ulwelling of Minnesota; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben, and 2 sons, Randy and Brian. Friends may meet with the family on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Epiphany Lutheran Church in Dorr. Pastor Mark Pflug officiating. Interment will take place in Hazen, North Dakota. Memorials may be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice.
