Alamo Twp, Kalamazoo, formerly of Allegan, MI, died Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Mrs. Padgham was born December 7, 1926 in Allegan, the daughter of William and Ellen (Ewers) Kruithoff. She had been a very active and faithful member of the Oak Grove Bible Church in Kalamazoo and was also a member of the Kalamazoo Lioness Club. She had worked at Allegan Paper Products in the Mill District and was also a telephone operator in Allegan. She was a bus driver for Allegan County Mental Health, retiring in the late 1980's, after 20 years of service. Education was very important to her and she returned to Allegan High School, receiving her diploma in 1975. She was active on the board of the Royal Estates Senior Park, where she lived, and where she taught line dancing. She will be remembered for her service to others. Surviving are 2 children and their spouses, William and Susan Padgham and Judy and William Robertson, all of Kalamazoo; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Luyckx, Lori (Brian) Bronkena, Jeff (Jennifer) Robertson and Wendy (Adam) Mrjonovich; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Wilma Leifsen of California; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar, and 2 sisters, Hazel Reed and Dorothy VanderMeer. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Tom Koning officiating.
