of Allegan, formerly of St. Joe, died Friday, May 14, 2010 at her home. Daylene was born September 24, 1925, in Dowagiac, the daughter of Day and Edith (Sass) Armstrong. She was a very classy lady who loved her family very much and also enjoyed a little glitz and glamour. Surviving are 5 children; Cheryl and Ed Neumann of Dowagiac, Greg Hayes of St. Joe, DeeDee Hayes of Benton Harbor, Denise and Ted Olmsted of Allegan, and Deborah and Bill Northrup of Dowagiac, 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. A very special friend, Larry Schreiber. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hayes, 1 brother and 3 sisters. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac. Memorials may be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice.
