Shelbyville, MI, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 in Indiana. Dawn was born March 5, 1962 in Allegan, the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (VanderMeer) Shattuck. She loved caring for her sons and others and would do anything for anyone. She enjoyed babysitting, fishing and visiting yard sales. Surviving are her long-time companion, Brian Stevenson and their 2 sons, Brian and Brandon Stevenson, all of Shelbyville; parents, Richard and Dorothy Shattuck of Allegan; 1 brother, Richard Shattuck Jr. of Bloomingdale; 4 sisters, Connie Rose of Schoolcraft, Janice (Carl) Wuis and Trudy Martin all of Shelbyville and Arlene (Gary) VonMyhr of Grandville; several aunts and uncles, including Uncle Hank VanderMeer; several nieces, nephews and special friends. Friends may meet with the family from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment Miner Cemetery, Watson Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for their sons, in care of Brian Stevenson.
