Dawn Iris Grigsby, 85, of Allegan, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 15, 2017. She was born March 21, 1932 to Charles and Gladys Dell in Riverside, Michigan. On March 24, 1950 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Elmer Grigsby, who preceded her to Heaven in 1993. Surviving are her children, Karen (Tom) Wright of Otsego, Mark Grigsby of Lawrence, Terri (Allen) Philley of Allegan, and Ernie (Pam) Grigsby of Hartford. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Audrey (Ron) Buzzell of Allegan and Sylvia (JR) Nolen of Moulton, Alabama; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Elmer, Dawn was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Leo and Charles Dell, Jr.; sisters, Alice Reed and Joyce Nelson; and her daughter-in-law, Connie Grigsby. Dawn was a loving spirit with a servant's heart. She was a generous caregiver, a lover of music, and above all, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from noon until 1:00 PM at which time a funeral service will begin. Burial will follow in Trowbridge United Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
