Maccune, David E., of Allegan, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. David was born December 23, 1955, in Allegan, the son of the late, Jim and Waneta (Sisson) Maccune. He worked for over 23 years at H.J. Heinz in Holland, retiring in 2002. David loved working on and restoring old cars. He was always a man you could count on to be there for his friends and family. On August 5, 1978, David married Nancy Stedman, who survives, also surviving are his 3 children; Star Boyles of Grand Rapids, David Jr., of Allegan, and Janice Maccune of Pullman, 5 grandchildren; Sabrina, Savanna, Paris, Triston, and Wanita, 5 brothers, Jim, John, Robert, Dan and Larry, 2 sisters; Marian Keys and Tina Morgan, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Dante', and his sister, Lisa. David has been cremated. There will be no public services. Memorials may be made to David's family, care of the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
