age 64, of Laurinburg, North Carolina, passed to his Heavenly home on Thursday, July 18, 2013. David was born July 24, 1948, a loving and devoted son to Robert and Geraldine Krotz. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to all. He had retired from INA Bearing/ The Schaeffler Group in Cheraw, South Carolina. He loved working with machinery and was a set-up operator at INA. He had also worked for companies in Michigan: Rockwell International, Rock-Tenn Papermill and Pet Milk over the years. He was a member of the Nazarene Church and was passionate about his Harley Davidson motorcycling, golf, woodworking and an avid music lover. David was a United States Army veteran. David is survived by his devoted wife of 22 years, Ann Runkel Krotz and daughter, Katherine Ann Krotz, of their home; mother, Geraldine Krotz, son, Cory David Krotz and daughter, Tracy Ellen Krotz Demitropoulos and husband Nick; brothers Roger, Wayne and Kevin Krotz; 6 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, family and special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Krotz. Visitation will be held at Gorden Funeral Residence in Hopkins, Michigan, on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 2-4:00 P.M. and 6-8:00 P.M. The funeral service will be on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Burnips Wesleyan Church in Burnips, Michigan at 11:00 A.M. Burial with military honors will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Hopkins Township. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial gifts be made in memory of David to Scotland County or Allegan County Hospice or St. Jude's Childrens Miracle Network, his favorite charity.
