of Otsego, died Sunday, January 2, 2011, at the Allegan General Hospital. A good man went to be with his Lord. Mr. Jones was born November 23, 1966, in Allegan, the son of Martin and Verna (Harris) Jones. David loved life, he enjoyed singing, playing his guitar, and dancing. His smile was infectious. To know David was to love him, and the world was a better place because he was in it. He will be sadly missed by everyone that knew him. Surviving are his 4 brothers; Bobby Harris, Gary and Christine Jones, Terry Jones and Lewis Jones, 6 sisters; Robbie Harris, Ethel Swans, Estella and Keith Wraggs, Thelma Jones, Ernestine and Willie Hays, and Bertha Jones, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his extended family and his special friends and staff from the Woodlea Home, Steve Vitto and family, Beth Edmonds and Annie Stough, and his kitty, Katie. He was preceded in death by his parents and his 5 brothers; McArthur, Eddie, Martin Jr., James Earl, and Clarence Jones. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, January 10, for 1 hour prior to the funeral service at 2 pm, at the St. John's Church of God in Christ, 716 Academy, in Allegan. Pastor Jeremiah Johnson will officiate. Private interment will take place at a later date in Lee Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Church.
