Hopkins, MI, died Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Schweikert was born July 26, 1926 in Hopkins Twp., the son of Otto and Fairy (Moored) Schweikert. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. He had been the sexton at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp., for many years. Surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister, Maxwell and Roger Schweikert and Dorothy Huntley. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery, Hopkins Twp. with military honors by the Otsego V.F.W. Post #3030.
