Darlene Louise Roberts, 82, of Allegan passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Allegan County Medical Care Community. Born December 5, 1934 in Grand Rapids, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Juanita Vera Goodwin Smalley and was the wife of the late Kermit Roberts. Mrs. Roberts enjoyed taking long drives through the countryside and enjoyed taking pictures to share with family and friends. She loved decorating for all of the holidays, though Christmas was her favorite. Mrs. Roberts spent many hours working on all different sorts of puzzles and listening to music, mostly country. She loved her pets, but above all else, she loved her family. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her greatest joy. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by three sisters, Monya, Mickey and Carol; and three brothers Ted, Orv and Danny. Darlene is survived by her four children, Randy and Marcy Roberts, Kenneth and Sandra Roberts, Sheri and Steve Danz, Donna and Tom Owen; as well as two brothers Richard and David Hudson; fifteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. A memorial service will take place Monday, August 28, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
