Allegan, MI, died Sunday, May 18, 2003 at his home. Mr. Jennings was born Aug. 28, 1928 in Allegan, the son of Marion and Jean (Whitehead) Jennings. He attended Eastern Univ. and had graduated from Western MI Univ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. He attended the First Baptist Church, Allegan and was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W., Moose Lodge, the Elks and the Oddfellows. He had been employed at Rockwell, Intl. for 30 years and had worked as a Real Estate Broker for 40 years. Surviving are 3 children, Lou Ann (Dean) Fitzhugh, Rodney Jennings, and Sarah Jennings, all of Allegan; their mother, Debra Hicks of Allegan; 1 grandchild, Tosha Fitzhugh; 1 step sister, Katherine Emerick of Douglas; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Clair. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor James H. Turner officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the Otsego V.F.W. Post #3030, will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. or the Disabled American Veterans.
