Danny E. Huitt, 53 of Battle Creek, died Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Battle Creek. Danny was born February 22, 1950 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Marvin and Lena (Clemens) Huitt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War in Cambodia. He had played the tenor sax, and enjoyed cross word puzzles and comic books. Surviving are two children, Derek Huitt, Amanda Huitt; his mother, Mickey Addair; stepfather, Jack Addair; 1 brother, Jack "Bluke" Addair; 3 sisters, Carla Schafer, Jaime LaFountain, Kammie Huitt; 3 step brothers; 1 step sister; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father in 1996. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:30 until 12:30 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. A graveside service will be held Friday 1:30 pm at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta with full military honors. Rev. G. Patrick White officiating.
