Daniel Kenneth Kirby passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on June 12, 2025, with family by his side at home. Daniel was born on September 13, 1946, to his parents Kenneth and Wilma (Curtis) Kirby in Paw Paw, Michigan. Daniel met the love of his life Loretta (Martin) Kirby and shared over 49 years of marriage together. Dan was a devoted man of God serving in many capacities at church by playing guitar as Worship Leader, Youth Leader, and as an Elder. He was also an excellent fisherman and knew how to catch the best fish at all the local fishing spots. When he wasn't fishing or serving at church, he loved eating tacos, spending valuable time with his family and newest great-grandchildren, but most of all he never wanted people to leave. Dan worked as a Chef in many restaurants and eventually retired from Johnson Controls out of Holland. Dan is missed and leaves a legacy of love and commitment behind him.

Daniel is survived by his wife Loretta (Martin) Kirby; children Kenneth (Tammy) Kirby, Martin (Deborah) Johnson, and Jeremy (Heather) Kirby; siblings Kay Wing, Judith Stuart and Kenny (Rock) Kirby; he was also blessed with multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in his death are his parents Kenneth and Wilma (Curtis) Kirby; stepdad Howard Perring; children Melissa Sutton and Laurie Johnson.

Daniel's Funeral Service will start at 11:00am with an hour's visitation beforehand on Wednesday, June 18 at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel 528 Trowbridge Street, Allegan, MI 49010. Graveside service following to Miner Cemetery in Watson Township. Luncheon details to be announced during the Funeral Service and Graveside.
