Daniel Gray Commons, 65, of Hopkins, MI passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at his home with his family at his side. Born August 5, 1955 in Allegan, he was the son of Beverly J. (Smith) Commons and the late Max H. Commons. Daniel was a longtime employee of Goodale Enterprises and had also worked farming and roofing throughout his life. He was dedicated to making sure his family was taken care of and always worked hard to ensure they had what they needed. Daniel enjoyed his simple life and took pleasure in spending time after work at Cocktailz Bar and Grill with a cold Bud Light. In his younger years he liked to spend time outdoors hunting. Daniel will be remembered for his hardworking, giving nature. He would truly give the shirt off his back to someone who was in need. In addition to his mother, Beverly, Daniel is survived by his children, Josh (Ashley) Commons, Cody (Lauren) Commons, Dylan Commons, Jamie Brenner and Melodie Hall; siblings, Judy (Elton) Edwards, Cathy Bilek and Shawn (Holly) Commons; and his two granddaughters, Paige and Chloe Commons. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
