Hopkins,MI, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003 in Grand Rapids. Mr. Beck was born October 5, 1933 in Salem Twp., the son of George & Laura (Green) Beck. He graduated from Hopkins in 1952 and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Goodwin & Sons for many years as well as Perrigo. He loved the outdoors and all the animals in it and was the most comfortable when he was out in nature. Surviving are 1 brother, Robert & Judy Beck, Hopkins; 6 sisters, Alice Bartram, Wyoming, Leona & Gene Nevenzel, Allegan, Lila Harnish, Grand Rapids, Viola & Robert McEwen and Lucille Larr, all of Hopkins, and Gail & Stan Emelander of Hudsonville; 1 siser- in-law, Miriam Abraham, Tennessee; 5 special neices & nephews, Joe & Michelle Beck, Jesse & Stacey Beck, Jamie & Emily Beck, Wade & Michelle Beck and Carrie & Gianni Marchesotta and their children, and several other neices & nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bud & Jim. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 am. Mr. Comer Skinner officiating.
