of Allegan, died Monday, September 17, 2012, at the Allegan General Hospital. Dick was born May 17, 1921, in Salem Twp, the son of Abe and Neva (Feltenbarger) Simmons. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in WWII. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Allegan, and had worked for Packaging Corporation of America in Grandville for over 44 years. Surviving are his daughter, Karen and Bob Allen , 1 granddaughter, Nicole and Joe Provlo, 3 great grandchildren; Bethanne, Isabelle, and Emma, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Pat, brother, Mike, and 6 sisters; Mable, Maxine, Fern, Honey, Jean, and Joy. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, September 20, from 6-8 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the Rosary will be recited at 6 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, at 11 am at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Rev Fr. Alan P. Jorgensen, Celebrant. Interment in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp.
