Hamilton, MI, passed away Friday, October 24, 2008 at Heartland of Holland. Mrs. Long was born August 4, 1913 in Cookeville, TN, the daughter of Matt and Sarah (Bartlett) Conley. She moved to Grand Rapids, MI in 1958 and later to Hamilton. She had worked for the L.H. Frost Co. in Grand Rapids for 10 years. She farmed for a number of years and enjoyed crocheting and taking care of her grandchildren. Surviving are 3 children, Junior and Anna Long of Hamilton, Geraldine Kuhn and Jerry Don Long, both of Cookeville, TN; 7 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and sisters. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. There will be no further services in Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
