Cynthia Kay Platt, 62 of Allegan, Michigan passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 after a valiant fight with cancer. Born May 1, 1956 in Allegan, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Alsip and Josephine Mark. Cynthia graduated in 1974 and later went to work for Perrigo Company as a packaging specialist. She always took pride in her work and strived to do the best at whatever she did. Coming from a large family, family was the most important thing to Cynthia and it just grew bigger once she married Tim Platt, who brought his own large family into the mix. Together they raised their children in an environment of love and support, always being there for each other. A true tribute to a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Her kindness and spirit will live on in their hearts.
Along with her loving husband, Tim, Cynthia is survived by her children, Lorinda Weaver, Melissa Weaver, Cathy Weaver and Ray Weaver; her many siblings, Jimmy Weaver, Amanda Weaver, Heather Weaver, Rob (Margie) Boylan, Johnny (Rebecca) Trosper, Joyce (Doug) Hornback, Tom Trosper, Larry Trosper, Dan Dunn, Dewy, Raymond, Elizabeth, Eugene (Cindy) Alsip, Gary (Dawn) Alsip, and Doug (Kay) Alsip; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and aunts and uncles.
As well as her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy McDonald; her Grandma Victoria Mark.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Poplar Hill Cemetery. Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, assisting the family with arrangements.
