DeVriendt, Curtis A., of Hopkins, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, in Dorr Twp. Mr. DeVriendt was born, April 12, 1954, in Grand Rapids, the son of Donald and Norma (Johnson) DeVriendt. Curtis graduated from Hopkins High School in 1972, he was a Veteran of the United States Army. April 23, 1994 Curtis married Connie L. Miller, who survives. He was employed by Key Plastics in Grand Rapids, for the past 10 years. He enjoyed watching wildlife around his home with his family. Also surviving are his 4 children; April Daniels, Christine, Thomas and James DeVriendt, 1 brother, Frank DeVriendt, his sister, Carol Woehl, 4 sisters-in-law; Kathleen and William Bard, Darla and Gary Spoors, Marylee and Rick Scott, and Lois DeVriendt, 3 brothers-in-law; Steven Miller and Linda, Tim and Mary Miller, and Lyle Miller, his mother-in-law, Darlene Miller, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, John, grandma, Henrietta, and father-in-law, Lyle. Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012, at 1 pm, at the Salem Twp. Cemetery. Comer Skinner will officiate. Memorials may be made to Curtis's family, C/O his wife, Connie DeVriendt. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel.
