age 81, from Allegan, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo MI. She was born September 15, 1932 in Racine, Wisconsin, the daughter of Arnold and Sophia (Hansen) Manger. Connie loved to share her creative talent with those around her. Through her life she was a seamstress, designing new and restoring antique wedding gowns. She served the Griswold Auditorium's "Community Players" as costume designer for 14 years. Connie decorated cakes for an Allegan bakery. An accomplished Quilter, Connie helped to found Allegan's own, "Iron Bridge Quilters" in 1998, and was always eager to teach new quilters what she had learned. While driving school bus for Allegan Public Schools, Connie was never without a needle work project to do in her down time. Blessed with a beautiful soprano voice, she had performed "Handel's Messiah" with Kalamazoo Symphony Chorale, she also sang with her church choirs, Zion Lutheran, Kalamazoo and First Congregational, Allegan. Connie is survived by her beloved husband Robert; her children: Greg Hall, Carol (Chris) Wiley, Mike (Janet Patterson) Hall, Patrick Hall; her grandchild Jennifer; her sister Barb (Roy) Wylie, her aunt Jennie Jensen: and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Charles Manger. Friends may meet with the family for a visitation at The First Congregational Church, 323 Cutler Street, Allegan, Michigan 49010, on Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 12 Noon until the time of the Funeral at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Barry Lucas will be officiating. In Lieu of flowers, the family is asking that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are being made by Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
