HUGHES, Constance E. "Connie" Trowbridge Twp., Allegan, MI, died Monday, December 1, 2003 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence, Kalamazoo. Mrs. Hughes was born March 3, 1923 in Heath Twp., the daughter of Edmund and Susan (Mollitor) Janke. She loved playing bingo. Surviving are 6 children, Gary and Nancy Zeran of Portage, Steven and Sherry Hughes of Escanaba, Daniel and Kathy Hughes of Plainwell, Tom and Cheryl Hughes of Kansas, Judy and Mick Heenan of Bloomingdale and Randy Hughes and Georgia of Allegan; 18 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Delbert "Red" and Gloria Janke of Allegan, Ted Janke and Debbie of Allegan and Pete and Bonnie Janke of Mattawan; 1 sister, Beverly and Claire Predum of Plainwell; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven, 2 sisters and 1 brother, Adeiline, Cecelia, and Charles. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the GORDEN FUNERAL RESIDENCE, Allegan Chapel, where memorial services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. Pastor Gail Pike officiating.
