Clyde K. Blood, 84 of Allegan, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at Metron of Allegan. Mr. Blood was born November 16, 1919 in Grand Rapids, MI. He was adopted as a very young baby by Lyman and Laura (Watson) Blood. Clyde worked for the Allegan County Road Commission for 32 years retiring in 1982. He enjoyed camping and had many hobbies including photography. Surviving are his wife, Margaret (VanOrder) whom he married on August 21, 1942 in Allegan; 2 sons and their spouses, Jerry & Jerri Sue Blood of Otsego, James Craig & Kitty Blood of Holland; 4 grandchildren, Ken Blood, Crissy Blood, Stacey Blood, James William Blood; 2 great grandchildren, Justin Alexander and Travis Schrotenboer; several nieces and nephews; a cousin, Marian & Dick Blakeslee of Sanford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee & Imy VanOrder of Byron Center, Elizabeth VanOrder of Kalamazoo, Blanche Chapko of Port Huron, and John Cecile Anderson of Dayton, TN. There will be no visitation. A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday 11:00 am at Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Pastor Fred Perry officiating.
