Aged 65, of Wayland Twp., MI, died Friday, January 28, 2005 at his home. Mr. Mudget was born January 7, 1940 in Wayland Twp., the son of LaRue and Gladys (Smith) Mudget. Surviving are his wife, Judy (Flietstra); 3 children, Roland (Heidi) Mudget of Wayland, Mike Frost, and Duane Mohr, both of Grand Rapids; 5 grandchildren, Curtis, McKenzie, Alisha, Clifford, and Richard; mother, Gladys Stuifbergen of Hamilton; 2 brothers, David (Betty) Mudget of Hamilton and Gary (Deb) Stuifbergen of Onaway; 3 sisters, Goldie (Wayne) Jousma of Bruce Crossing, Marian (Lee) Haney of Plainwell, and Lucy (Ed) Young of Byron Center; brother-in-law, Clarence Bowyer of Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, LaRue Mudget; stepfather, Richard Stuifbergen; and sister, Lu Bowyer. Friends may meet with the family from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. Pastor Ron Lancaster officiating.
