Clayton John Richardson, Jr. "Opie", age 12 of Gobles, MI passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 27, 2003 in Allegan, MI of unknown causes. Clayton was born October 9, 1990 in Plainwell, MI the son of Clayton and Robin (Davis) Richardson. He had completed the 6th grade at Gobles Public School and had also attended school in Otsego and Allegan. Clayton had participated in Rocket Football and attended Wednesday Night Club at Merson Church. Surviving are his parents, Clayton Richardson & Lisa Fredrick of Gobles; Robin Richardson & Eric Hampton of Kalamazoo; a sister, Amber Richardson; grandparents, Stella Davis of Kalamazoo, Ken & Robin Davis of Gobles, Dixie Lounsberry of Gobles, and Larry & Jonnette Richardson of Plainwell; great grandmothers, Eileen Davis of Allegan, and Donna Slack of Otsego; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Clayton was preceded in death by an infant sister, Kasie Richardson in 1993. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. The Funeral Service will be Thursday 11:00 am at Merson Church. Interment Lindsley Cemetery, Cheshire Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
