Obituary

of Allegan. Died Sunday, February 12, 2012. Age 84 years. He was born February 7, 1928, the son of the late Erie and Helen (Enders) Woolf. He served with the United States Army during the Korean War. He received a degree in Christian Education from Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music. He retired from Rockwell International after 28 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Allegan, where he developed a large bussing ministry. He was a longtime board member of the Allegan County Child Evangelism Fellowship. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was married to Ardis Boese on June 26, 1956; she preceded him in death on September 6, 2008. Surviving are two children, David (Melody) Woolf of Kalamazoo and Darlene Wagner of Allegan; and five grandchildren, Sonnet Woolf, Jonathan Woolf, Mark Woolf, Dakota Wagner and Cheyenne Wagner. Friends may meet with the family from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Allegan. Pastor Greg Carlson will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Allegan County Child Evangelism Fellowship.
