Christopher F. Peabody, 42 of Gobles, died Friday, June 6, 2003 in South Haven. Chris was born January 15, 1961 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Frederick and Nancy (Buckler) Peabody. He was a 1979 graduate of Allegan High School and a member of the Allegan Gun Club. He had worked for Milbocker & Sons until being injured 3 years ago, and was a member of the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters, Local #525. He enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling and puttering in his garage. Surviving are his wife, Sherry; 3 children, Stephen Peabody, Taylor Peabody and Lindsey Stinson; parents, Fred & Nancy Peabody; parents-in-law, Ed & Dee Smith; sisters, Pamela & Robert Abbott, Sari & Brad Hammon; sisters-in-law, Kim & Pete Olson, Robin Newburry; several nieces and nephews, and his close companion and dog, Buster. The family will receive friends Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where services will be held Tuesday 11:00 am. Interment Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Township. Memorial contributions may be made to a fund for his children.
