Christine “Chris” Ann (Cosgrove) Jurkas passed on August 22, 2026, with family by her side. Chris was born to her late parents Kermit and Bernice (Beagle) Cosgrove on October 25, 1951, in Allegan, Michigan. She married Donald Jurkas and shared over 50 years of marriage.

The Game Of Life

If you do not go in swimming, You can never take a dive.

If you have no hope in living, Then you'll never be alive.

If you do not climb a mountain, You will never reach the top.

You will never see the rainbow, If the raindrops never drop.

You cannot see a sunrise, If you always sleep til noon.

Unless you gaze into the sky, You'll never see the moon.

If you've never tasted sorrow, You cannot know a joy.

Without the pain of childbirth, There'd be no girl or boy.

To know the joy of living, You must love your fellow man.

To know the joy of giving, You must lend a helping hand.

There'd be no great creation, Without the Master's Plan.

You cannot be a Christian, Without God's gift to man.

Chris is survived by her husband, Donald Jurkas; children, Amy Jurkas and Ryan Jurkas; and brother, David Cosgrove.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roland Cosgrove, Roy Cosgrove, and Roger Cosgrove.

Chris’s funeral will start at 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2026, with two-hours visitation before from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Allegan United Methodist Church, 409 Trowbridge Street, Allegan, MI 49010. Cremation to follow with no graveside service.
