Allegan, MI, went to his heavenly home Sunday, October 11, 2009, where he will be free of his suffering. Chet was born May 15, 1930 in Hamilton, MI, the son of George and Fannie (Rotman) Reimink, who preceded him in death. He attended Holland High School and had served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Allegan United Methodist Church, and until his illness, had been an avid golfer and fisherman. He retired from Crescent Machine Co. after 32 years of service and had also worked at Johnson Floral and the Allegan County News. He loved his family, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed by his loving family, wife of 57 years, Betty (Reynolds) whom he married July 25, 1952; 2 sons, David and Yvonne Reimink of Allegan and Douglas and Kim Reimink of Kalamazoo; his pride and joy, his beautiful grandchildren, Mickey and Danielle Reimink of Allegan, Thomas and Jennie Reimink of Zeeland, April Reimink of Allegan, Justin Reimink and Kelly Reimink, both of Kalamazoo; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kaelynn, Ryder, Asher and Mikayla Reimink; 1 brother, Maynard and Phyllis Reimink of Hamilton; 2 sisters, Shirley and Louis Beyer of Zeeland and Eleanor and Bernard Sheaffer of Allegan; 2 sisters-in-law, Katie Reimink of Holland and Eileen and Ted Schwaab of Texas; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Reimink and 2 brothers-in-law, Donald Smith and Ronald Smith. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Memorial services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Allegan United Methodist Church.
