Hopkins, MI, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids. Cheryl was born January 23, 1955 in Allegan, the daughter of Darl E. and Patricia (Mayrand) Stone. She was a 1973 graduate of Hopkins High School and had been employed at Harding's Market in Wayland for 8 years, retiring in 2005. Surviving are her husband, David; 1 son, Tom Snyder of Hopkins; mother and stepfather, Patricia and Merle Stone of Hopkins; 4 brothers, Bruce and Lauri Stone of Otsego, Rodney and Diane Stone, Jim Stone, and Darl Stone Jr., all of Hopkins. She was preceded in death by her father, Darl. Friends may meet with the family from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. Pastor Len Schildroth officiating. Interment at a later date in Maplewood Cemetery, Hopkins Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
