Obituary

Allegan Twp., MI, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Hoffman was born March 21, 1936 in Garrett, KY, the daughter of Mickle and Vina (VanderPool) Coburn. She had been employed at Valley Foods for 10 years, Harding's Market from 1970-1987 and was co-owner/operator of Hoffman's Produce until her retirement in 2000. Surviving are her husband, Bud; 10 children and their spouses, Pam Iehl, Judy and Gary Ramaker, Melody and Jim Coffindaffer, Jane Smalla, and Doug and Deb Hoffman, all of Allegan, Deb Fortney of Jenison, LuAnn and Scott Sulzener of Allegan, Brian and Connie Hoffman of Hamilton, Steve Hoffman and Brenda Buskard of Allegan, and Sheila Hoffman of Illinois; 5 brothers and their spouses, Clyde Coburn of Battle Creek, Clinton and Judy Coburn of Allegan, Jim and Deb Coburn of Plainwell, Gary and Theresa Coburn, and Larry Coburn, all of Martin; 26 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 5 sisters and their spouses, Garnet and Max Lewis of Richland, Carolyn and Bill Khodl of Allegan, Evelyn and Jim May of Battle Creek, Dorothy and Dennis Zugel of Allegan, and Linda Ruhlig of Florida, 1 brother-in-law, John Mueller of Florida; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Warner, brother Carlos Coburn, and sister, Gwen Mueller. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Pastors John Zwyghuizen and Barry Lucas officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Heath Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice.
