of Hamilton, MI. Died Sunday, November 13, 2011. Age 55 years. He was born January 31, 1956, the son of Charles C. May and Lorraine (Woodyard) Sanders. He graduated from Allegan High School in 1974. He worked for 4 years at Allegan General Hospital and 4 years at Winchester Steel. He was currently employed by Herman Miller Chair Plant in Holland for 27 years. He was active in the Allegan County Fair all of his life. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Cindy J. (Whitcomb) Young of Hamilton; four children, Charles Young of Delton, Laura (John) Parsons of Kentucky, Phyllip (Melissa) Young of Kentucky and Richard (Renae) Raseley of Washington; thirteen grandchildren; his mother, Lorraine Sanders of Alabama; three brothers, Ricky (Denise) Young of Arizona, Buzzy (Theresa) Young of Allegan and Christopher May of White Cloud; four sisters, Peggy (Jerry) Ibarra of Texas, Patricia Rubio (Tim Adrain) of Texas, Nina (John) Donaldson of Grand Rapids and Gina (James) Smith of Alabama; seven foster brothers and sisters, Norma Jean (Norman) Freeman, Sam (Kitty) Livingston, John (Colleen) Livingston, Donna Kay (Tony) Livingston, Andy Livingston, Janet (Todd) Allen and Lorna (Rex) Burkhead; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Betty Shafer, Tom Hassavoort, Dan Siegersma and Dale and Ruth Alderink. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles May and his sister, Anadina May. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pastor Dale Scholten will officiate with Interment in Poplar Hill Cemetery.
