Chad Alan Chestnut, age 43, of Allegan, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Chad was born June 11, 1972 in Allegan, Michigan, the son of Harry A. and Janis S. (Smith) Chestnut. Chad loved attending the day program at "ACES," provided by Allegan County Mental Health. He enjoyed spending time with his family, books, music, and taking car rides. Chad was a special gift. His infectious smile and good nature has provided wonderful memories for his family and has created a special bond that will never be broken. He will be greatly missed. Chad is survived by his loving parents, Harry and Janis Chestnut; brother, Andy and Brady Chestnut; sister, Amy Chestnut and Josh Gillons; grandparents, Basil and Henrietta Smith; nephew, Smith Chestnut; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his very special caregiver, Missy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Virginia Chestnut; Uncle Jim and cousin Janel. A private graveside service will be held at Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Township, Pastor John Zwyghuizen officiating.
