Carol Joyce Germain, age 77, of Allegan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Allegan County Medical Care Community. Mrs. Germain was born April 5, 1939 in Allegan, Michigan, daughter of the late Benjamin and Hilda (Glaze) Waanders. Carol was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She worked for the Perrigo Company where she met many lifelong friends. Carol thoroughly enjoyed her rose garden, whether she was working in it or just admiring it. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Time spent with her family always brought her great joy. Carol is survived by her daughter, Jackie and Craig vanMelle and son, Robert Germain Jr.; her grandchildren: Jared, Betsy, Greg and Gavin; her great-grandchildren: Ruby and Josiah; and her brothers: Dave and Irene Waanders and Fred and Judy Waanders. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Germain Sr. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 11am - 1pm at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Graveside Services will also be held on Monday, March 20th at 2pm at Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Township. Memorial donations may be made in Carol's name to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 631 Grand Street, Allegan, MI 49010.
