Carol Lee Barrett (Hagerman), 78, passed away at home, surrounded by her family on September 15, 2017. Carol was born in Kalamazoo, MI on September 12, 1939, the daughter of the late Martha Hagerman (Root), Harold "Moe" Hagerman and Patricia Hagerman. Carol was a loving wife and mother, she is survived by her husband, Charles of over 58 years, her sister Kaye Sweet-Stewart, her brother Karl Hagerman, daughter Cindy (Jeff) Stickley, sons Chuck Barrett and Cary (Pam) Barrett, 5 grandchildren, Marcus (Amanda), Dustin (Brandi), Ben, Travis, Taylor, great grandchildren, Atticus, and Braxton, several nieces and nephews. Carol graduated from Richland High School, class of 1957 and later moved to Plainwell, MI where she and the love of her life would raise their family and call home. Carol was an avid bowler and she also owned and operated "The Treasure Chest" for over 20 years. After retiring in 1999, she and Charles "Chuck" spent their time between Sandy Pines, in Dorr, MI and at their winter home in Leesburg, FL. Carol was proceeded in death by her parents, her niece (Candi Lee Sweet) and her beloved dog, Simba. While Carol left us too soon, she left everyone she met with wonderful memories and grateful hearts. Even in her final moments, Carol's kindness and giving nature shined through.
