of Allegan. Died December 6, 2011 at the Wings Home in Allegan. Carol was born November 9, 1939 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late William and Cathryn (Lamb) Egan. She was employed for a short time with at Cadillac Overall Supply. In 1966 she was married to Forrest Lantis; he survives her. Carols' interest included golfing, gardening and working on jig saw puzzles. Her interests, except for the puzzles, were put on hold several years ago when she was diagnosed with advanced diabetes, which led to many problems. Surviving besides her husband are her brother, James (Judy) Egan of Kalamazoo; her sister, Marilyn (Andrew) Ponicki of Lake Placid, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where a funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2011. Rev. Fr. Alan P. Jorgensen will officiate with burial in Hudson Corners Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Allegan County Medical Care Facility, Wings of Hope Hospice or Fresinius Dialysis.
