Carol Lee Cronkhite, 77 of Kalamazoo, Michigan passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Born August 19, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late James and Irene (Wright) Caton and the wife of Donald Cronkhite, Jr. Carol was a fun-loving woman who enjoyed going to the casino and testing her luck, which was more fun for her because she never seemed to lose! She also enjoyed going to flea markets or staying home and reading a good romance novel. She had a passion for her family and always wanted them to know how important they were to her. The time they had together was very precious to Carol. Carol leaves behind her loving husband, Donald; her son, James F. Cronkhite; her daughter, Tinalea (Larry) Pickard; three grandchildren, Todd Cronkhite, Amanda (Eric) Ramsey and Kami Barnes; nine great grandchildren; her brothers-in-law, Dean Swafford and Bill (Jesse) Cronkhite; and her sister-in-law, Tina Cronkhite. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Allen Cronkhite; her father- and mother-in-law, Donald Sr. and Ethel Mae Cronkhite; her sister, Susan Swafford; and her brother-in-law, Gary Cronkhite. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Club House at Leisure Lane Apartments, 4300 Leisure Lane, Kalamazoo, MI 49006.
