Obituary

Trowbridge Twp., Allegan, MI, died Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at his home. Mr. Woodhams was born June 28, 1927 in Trowbridge Twp, the son of Herman and Esther (Lindsey) Woodhams. He was a 1944 graduate of Allegan High School. He attended Merson Church for many years and had farmed all of his life. He had also been employed at Conyer's Agri Service in Martin, Wolverine Feed in Martin, Allegan Farmer's Co-op and Hamilton Farm Bureau. Surviving are his wife Ann (Counterman); 4 children, Rev. Kenneth and Capie Woodhams of South Dakota, Carleen and Morris French, Ben and Susie Woodhams, and Bill Woodhams, all of Allegan; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Lorraine Steines of Wayland; 1 sister-in-law, Maxine Woodhams of Allegan; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Merrill. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Gail Pike officiating. Interment Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Christian Record Services
