Calvin O'Bryant, 81, of Allegan, MI passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020, at Grace of Douglas. Born February 23, 1938, in Martins Ferry, OH, he was the son of the late Julius and Doris (Oliver) O'Bryant and was the husband of Celia Annette (Thrash) O'Bryant. Mr. Calvin O'Bryant worked as a millwright at Bohn Aluminum in South Haven for over thirty-eight years. In addition to his wife of sixty-two years, Celia, he is survived by his children, Allen (Yvette) O'Bryant, Annette Hall, Calvin (Cristina) O'Bryant, Jr., Gail Essenburg, Dorine Channey, Marian (Terry) Gowens and Albert (Debra) O'Bryant; seventeen grandchildren: Jessica, Allen Jr., Amber, Derrick, Caleb, Ieshia, Ian, Calvin, Eric, Lucus, Quinnetta, Qwenten, Demeshia, Brutus, Stephanie, Heather, Albert Jr., Joel, Dylan, and Keyanna; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Lindsley Cemetery, Cheshire Township. Service Details.
