of Allegan, Died December 24, 2010 at his home. Age 77 years. Calvin was born April 27, 1933 the son of the late William and Lillie Belle (Beery) Lane. He worked as a manager for Rockwell International for 25 years. He was a great musician and avid music lover who enjoyed playing the guitar, the accordion and numerous other stringed instruments. Calvin gave music lessons with his home based business of Stars of Tomorrow. He enjoyed waterskiing, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Toast Masters public speaking club for years. Calvin was married to Patricia Ann Bartz on February 3, 1950; she survives him. Surviving besides his wife are five children, Gary Lane of Allegan, Diane (James) DeLockery of Homestead, FL, Timothy (Barbara) Lane of Kalamazoo, Peggy Lane of Allegan and Karen Lane of Allegan; 11 grandchildren, Jason, Ami, Scott, Bryan, Anna-Liisa, Ben, Ian, Matthew, Marcus, Leia and Loren; 10 great-grandchildren, Noah, Mazie, McKinzie, Collin, Sophia, Sydney, Morgan, Ciarra, Kara and Cameron; and his brother, William (Virginia) Lane of Allegan. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Fr. Alan P. Jorgensen will officiate.
