of Hopkins, was called home unexpectedly, Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at his home. Mr. Brown was born October 5, 1966, in Allegan, the son of Richard J. and Gloria (Hendrixson) Brown. Bruce graduated from Hopkins High School in 1985, and was known for his great smile and rigorous work ethic. He was employed by VanDellen Steel in Dutton for over 27 years as a fabricator. He loved his family, his grandchildren, who called him papa, and his favorite cat, Momo. Surviving are his wife, Dawn, his 7 children; Ashley, Bradley, and Tammy Brown, Steve and Deana Theunissen, Aaron Theunissen, Ashley and Chris Bradshaw, and Sam Theunissen, 4 grandchildren; Zachary, Alivia, Chase, and Bailee, his grandpa, Harry O. Brown, 2 brothers; Jim and Jenny Brown, and Chuck and Chris Brown, 2 sisters; Cathy and Rod Channels, and Kim and Bryan Chiaramonte, 1 step brother, Rob and Tracy Meendering, 2 step sisters; Amy and Garry Barksdale, and Kristi and Randy Steffes, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Brown Sr., mother, Gloria Brown Meendering, and his step dad, Robert Meendering. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, July 1, from 2-5 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 am. Pastor James L.
