of Pine Lake, MI, passed away, after a brave battle with cancer, and with her family at her side, Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence in Kalamazoo. Bonnie was born January 12, 1942 in Three Rivers, MI, the daughter of John and Florence (Cartwright) Jones. She was crowned home-coming queen of her high school class of 1959. On Sept. 30, 1961, she was united in marriage to Raymon "Rocky" Walker. They began their life together in Hopkins, later moving to Pine Lake. The marriage ended after 32 years, but from this marriage came 3 wonderful children. She was currently employed at Bronson Methodist Hospital, but had previously worked for G. A. DeMink and Assoc., and drove school bus for Delton-Kellogg schools. She will always be remembered for her good cooking, laugh, and most of all, her kind heart. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family and has many special relatives, friends, and co-workers who have helped her through this battle. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Rick and Pat Walker of Richland, Renee and Mike Butler of Parchment, and Alex and Rhonda Kienitz of Pine Lake; 4 grandchildren, Rick, Heather, Shelby, and John; 2 grand dogs, Winipeg and Chase; mother, Florence Jones, of Hopkins; 2 brothers and their wives, Johnnie and Schrie Jones of Pierson and Ron and Pam Jones of Hopkins; 2 sisters and their husbands, Judy and Don Collier of Hopkins and Vikki and Dave Blakeslee of Burnips; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, including a special aunt and uncle, Barb and Roger DeMond of Pine Lake. She was preceded in death by her father in 2000 and a brother, Larry. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Pastor Reva Daniel officiating.
