Bliss R. Smith, 82, of Allegan, MI passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Holland Hospital.  Born November 26, 1941 in Detroit, he was the son of the late Bradley and Joyce (Ragle) Smith and was the beloved husband of the late Janet Louise (Stonecipher) Smith.  Bliss and Janet managed several drive-in movie theaters for twenty years and then from 1986 to 2006 he worked as an electronics technician for the United States Postal Service.  Bliss was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved hunting and fishing at the lake home that they shared for many years.

Bliss is survived by his son, Thomas (Melissa) Smith; grandchildren, Nicole Smith, Bradley Smith, II, Coty Smith and Andrea Smith; and seven great-grandchildren.  Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Bradley; and his siblings, Bradley M. Smith, Linda Leach, Michelle Smith and Karen Bradey.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life has been planned for Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Trowbridge Township Hall. 913 M-40 South, Allegan, MI 49010.
