Bill Rop, 87 years old of Gobles, Michigan passed away after an accident on February 21, 2022. Bill was a kind, generous person. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a man of few but wise words. Bill had a positive outlook on life. He enjoyed family get togethers. He loved outdoors and fishing, enjoyed Nascar and going to casinos. Bill was born on January 12, 1935 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. His parents were Claus Rop, Sr. and Daisy Budzinski Rop. He worked at KVP Sutherland, (at 16 years old,) Kalcraft, and retired from the City of Kalamazoo water department in 1998. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Eleanor Rop, his sister Betty (Louis) Hall, his children: Kathleen Bellow, Lisa (Dale) Pominville, stepdaughter Tina Halsey Feree, and stepson Cary Kingsley. His grandchildren are: Jared Bellow, Caleb Bellow, Alex Pominville, Nick Pominville, Richard (Christy) Cooper, Brittney Halsey, Brock Feree, Bret Hook, Aly Cooper and great granddaughter, Zoey Shepherd. He also had several nieces and nephews. His dear friends were Harold, Sharon, Bob and Peggy.
