Betty Jeanette Borst, 96, of Allegan, MI passed away Monday, October 3, 2022 at Briarwood Assisted Living. Born March 9, 1926 in Oregon, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Jeanette Wiley and was the wife of the late Earl "Red" Borst. Betty had attended Trowbridge Methodist Church and was a beautician in Allegan for 27 years. Until the age of 83 she loved to ride her Harley on beautiful nights to visit her sister and to the South Haven Pier to go fishing. Betty also enjoyed spending time working outside and was a perfectionist when it came to her yard. She adored the time she was able to spend with her family and had especially cherished the years spent watching and helping care for her grandchildren. Betty is survived by her daughter, Jacklyn (Rich) Rimkus; sister, Fern Zeinstra; grandchildren, Erica (Ted) Stender, Justin Oram, Betty (Bud) Randall, Mary Lechman, Sue (Matt) Harmalink; and many great and great-great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Roger Earl Borst; and her siblings, Alice Sepanick, Josephine Shimmell and Nate Wiley. A graveside funeral service will take place on Monday, October 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Township.
