Lindsley, Betty, 83, of Allegan, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Lindsley was born May 26, 1932 in Allegan, Michigan, the daughter of the late Carl and Catherine (Coffey) Wilkes. She graduated Allegan High School in 1949, and was married to Doyle F Lindsley in 1952. Betty spent her early years as a Seamstress into the 1970's, then in the mid 70's went to work for Delano Service in Allegan. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Allegan. Betty loved making knitted hats, scarfs and blankets for her family and friends. She also enjoyed getting time to read and losing herself in a good book, playing bingo and gardening. Betty's love for her children, grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews went deep! Betty is survived by her children: Thomas and Cynthia Lindsley (Allegan, MI), John and Jennifer Lindsley (Plano, TX), and Anne Lindsley (Ludington, MI); 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Sally Beckers (Allegan) and Vera Quinn (Oklahoma City, OK). She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle F. Lindsley (2014); brothers, Fred and Chuck Wilkes; sisters, Roberta Krouse, Marion Goodwill and Cora-Lorraine Wilkes. There are 2 organizations that need to be thanked for the love and care they gave to Betty; Briarwood Assisted Living in Allegan and Wings of Hope Hospice of Allegan. They were both outstanding in the care, love and compassion they provided! Memorial donations may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn Street, Allegan, MI 49010. Private interment took place at Blackman Cemetery, Trowbridge Township.
